Bread Machine ITALIAN OLIVE BREAD


Here is a recipe for Italian Olive Bread that you can make in your bread machine.

Just place all of the ingredients in bread machine pan and let the machine do the rest.

 

 

 

 

Makes one 1 1/2 pound loaf

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive / corn oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 3/4 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder/ 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 1/2tsp milk powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 1/2 tbsp chopped green / black olives

 

METHOD

Place all ingredients into bread machine pan in the order listed above.

Choose basic/normal cycle.

Add chopped olives when the beeper beep be sure to add them gradually, allowing them to be incorporated into the dough.

Note: Premix the dried basil and garlic powder with the flour before used.

    A little confused … you say to add all ingredients to the bread machine, then last you say to add the olives a bit at a time when the machine beeps … I’m unsure about exactly when the olives go in to the mix. Would appreciate if you could please clarify as I am anxious to try this recipe.

      I usually add a lot more olives and am quite liberal with the seasonings. I throw in some “italian seasoning” too. Adding a bit of parmesean cheese never hurts either!

      P.S. I don’t bother with pre-mixing the flour and seasonings.
